We are proud to announce that we have been engaged by the developers of the restoration and remodeling of the elegant Brazilian Court Hotel, the 80 year old world famous society Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The rooms and suites have been converted into residences which are being marketed as Condo Hotel Suites. We have been engaged to assist them with their sales and marketing activities in the Americas.

Ambassador Donna Hrinak Joins The Americas Group Advisory Board

We are proud to announce and welcome Ambassador Donna J. Hrinak, the current U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, as a member of the Board of Advisors of The Americas Group. She presented her credentials In April 2002 to then Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

From July 2000 until her present appointment, she served as U.S. Ambassador to Venezuela. She previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Bolivia (1997-2000) and as U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic (1994-1997). She was the State Department's Coordinator for Policy for the Miami Summit of the Americas in 1994.

From 1991-1993, Ambassador Hrinak was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs, responsible for overseeing U.S. policy and relations with Mexico and the Caribbean. Earlier, she was Minister Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She also has served at Foreign Service posts in Caracas, Venezuela; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Bogota, Colombia; Warsaw, Poland; and Mexico City. In the Department of State, she has worked as Regional Affairs Officer for Central America. Ambassador Hrinak joined the Foreign Service in 1974.

Born in Pennsylvania, Ambassador Hrinak is a graduate of Michigan State University and attended the George Washington University and the University of Notre Dame School of Law. Her languages are Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish. She is a recipient of the U.S. Government's Distinguished Public Service Award and the Department of State's Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards. She was awarded a Congressional Fellowship by the American Political Science Association and in 1985 was selected by Glamour magazine as one of America's Ten Outstanding Working Women. Ambassador Hrinak will live in Miami with her son Wyatt.

Averell Harriman School.   As a recipient of the Mayor of New York Scholarship award, he attended the graduate school of Architecture at Pratt Institute where his area of specialization was urban economic revitalization planning.

Mr. Murdoch attended the Manhattan School of Music’s prestigious pre-college division where he studied voice with Ilse Sass and later was accepted as a vocal-operatic student of Eleanor Steber of the Juilliard School.

Alejandro Santo Domingo Joins The Americas Group

We are proud to announce and welcome Alejandro Santo Domingo as an Investor/ Partner in The Americas Group. Mr. Santo Domingo Davila is the Managing Director for Quadrant Capital Advisors, Inc. located in New York and is involved in the management of his family's company, Grupo Santo Domingo. He sits on the Boards of many of the companies they control. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of Bavaria S.A. Bavaria produces and distributes beer, bottled water, juice drinks, malt beverages, and soft drinks. It sells its products in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Costa Rica. Formed in 1890, it is Colombia's largest brewer, with 98% of the market, and is a leader in malt beverages, juices and water. It is also the 2nd largest beverage company in Latin America.

Mr. Santo Domingo is on the Boards of Compania de Cervezas Nacionales S.A., Cerveceria Andina S.A., Cerveceria Nacional S.A., Refrescos Nacionales S.A., Aguila Trading, Cerveceria San Juan, Cervesur and Backus & Johnston, in Peru, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.

In addition, he is on the Board of Valores Bavaria, a Colombian Publicly Traded Company, which operates as a Private Equity Fund and actively manages a diversified investment portfolio. Valores Bavaria is one of the largest economic groups in Colombia with sales close to US $1.8 billion, representing 2% of the Colombian GDP, and has over 15,000 employees. Mr. Santo Domingo is a member of the Board of BellSouth Colombia, Media Capital, Invernac and Caracol Television S.A., all of which are related to Valores Bavaria.

Mr. Santo Domingo Davila was employed at Violy, Byorum & Partners, Investment Bankers, from 1999 to 2002 where he was focused on Mergers & Acquisitions for Telecom, Media and Consumer Goods. He is a graduate of Harvard University and is currently living in New York City.
