Frank C. Weed

Frank C. Weed is Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of The Americas Group Real Estate LLC (TAGRE) with over 30 years of experience and leadership in development, sales, marketing and management of distinguished real estate companies. Prior to founding TAGRE, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Medallist Developments, managing its North American Division owned by Greg Norman’s Great White Enterprises and Macquarie Bank, Australia’s largest investment bank.

Mr. Weed was Senior Vice President of Atlantic Gulf Communities Corporation where he initiated a company division for residential/resort development with West Bay Club, a private country club community located north of Naples, Florida which achieved initial sales of over $100 million. The community features a Pete and P.B. Dye championship course which hosted the College Golf Match Play Championship. Builder Magazine recognized West Bay Club as one of the five best new communities in the country. West Bay Club received recognition and additional awards for environmental stewardship, marketing, and planning.

Frank was President and Chief Executive Officer of Island Developers, Ltd., owner of ultra exclusive Fisher Island club community in Miami, Florida. He redirected and implemented the development, operational and marketing plans for this unique residential island. During his management, the island reached new levels in sales of $100 million annually, a 250% increase, operational efficiencies, client satisfaction and real estate product differentiation. Fisher Island is a community reached only by water or air and is known for its international clientele from 40 countries. The island and its amenities have been recognized by many organizations worldwide as among the finest anywhere.

Mr. Weed developed Cherry Valley, a residential country club community located near Princeton, New Jersey. This community features a Rees Jones golf course and was nominated by Golf Digest in the “Best New Private Club” category. This community were featured on the cover of Builder Magazine and recognized for its excellence in design.

Frank was Senior Vice President and COO of LJ Hooker Homes of Atlanta, Georgia and was responsible for the Eastern United States operation consisting of home building divisions in Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, and Raleigh. He initiated new divisions in Washington D.C. and south Florida and managed divisions in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Phoenix after an organizational restructuring. Hooker constructed 1,200 single family homes per annum in the $100,000 to $400,000 price range.

President of the Florida Residential Division of Zaremba Development Company where he directed the development of communities which were designated “Best Development in the Southeast” by the Southeastern Builders Conference and rated a “5 Star Tennis Resort” by Tennis Magazine while also receiving national awards sponsored by Builder Magazine for sales and marketing accomplishments. Mr. Weed also developed 1200 rental apartments in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Florida.

Vice President of Arvida Corporation in Boca Raton, Florida, where he served as General Manager of Boca West, responsible for a 1,400 acre mixed-use development, encompassing four golf courses, 40 tennis courts, 150-room condominium/hotel, long-term rental programs.

First National Bank of Chicago in Atlanta, Georgia and involved with financing of construction projects, credit lines, second mortgages, stand-by commitments, etc. for developments located in 11 southeastern states. Projects throughout the southeastern United States. Arranged financing from $5 million to $15 million.

Frank was a decorated United States Navy Diving Officer and served in Vietnam, Hawaii and Alaska. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
