Hernan Maestre

Hernan Maestre is as an Investor/Partner and Senior Advisor to the Company. Hernan is an influential Colombian businessman, investor, entrepreneur and real estate developer with a diverse and distinguished background. He is co-founder and CEO of Focus Developers a strategic and financial consulting boutique specialized in the communications, media, entertainment and the real estate sectors. Mr. Maestre is also the CEO of Cellnet, an important national distributor of cellular and wireless products, services and accessories in Colombia.

He was also President of Energia Social de la Costa, a division of the Spanish Multinational Company, Gas Natural. Energia Social is a regional energy distribution company that provides energy to low income communities.

Hernan spent 8 years early in his career with Bankers Trust’s Latin American Merchant Banking Department as its Representative in Colombia and Vice-President of the Andean Caribbean Unit in New York. He was actively involved in the structuring and negotiating debt/equity conversions, mergers and acquisitions and swap transactions.

Mr. Maestre has served as a Board Member of Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ETB), Termo Cartagena and Fundación Carnaval de Barranquilla and is currently a Director of Country Motors (General Motors), the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla (Colombian President Uribe´s Representative), Probarranquilla (City of Barranqulla Mayor Char´s Representative), Delirio Hotel and Parque Industrial Puente Pumarejo among others. He also serves as Advisor to the Board of Electricaribe and sits on the Board of Hogar San Camilo a local non-profit foundation serving the elderly.

He has a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia and has a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University. Mr. Maestre is fluent in English.
