Walter Byrd

Walter Byrd is an Investor/Partner of the Company and a highly respected and successful commercial, industrial and technology-related real estate specialist. Walter Byrd, along with his partners Ben Eisenberg and Thomas Kresse, is recognized as one of the top brokers in the South Florida marketplace. During his career, Byrd and his team have represented some of the largest corporate users in South Florida, have leased properties on behalf of many major institutional owners, and have assisted clients in their purchase and sale of assets. He and Eisenberg also lead the overall South Florida operations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Before joining Transwestern, Byrd was a senior vice president in the South Florida office of Trammell Crow Company. Along with Eisenberg and Kresse, he was responsible for strategic business development for all aspects of industrial and office real estate services in South Florida, including brokerage, capital markets, investment sales, and corporate tenant representation. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Byrd was a senior director in the South Florida office of Cushman & Wakefield.

Consistent market leaders, Byrd, Eisenberg, and Kresse have been ranked nationally as top producers for Trammell Crow and Cushman & Wakefield. Each has been recognized by the national research firm CoStar as one of the “Top 20” brokers in 2004 and 2005 for their volume of transactions completed in South Florida. In 2003, the team was awarded the “Real Estate Deal of the Year” by the South Florida Business Journal for representing Crispin Porter + Bogusky in their headquarters relocation to the Offices of Mayfair. Byrd is consistently quoted in the local media as a source for current market information and real estate trends.

Byrd is on the advisory board for the Center of Real Estate Studies for the University of Florida, and is active with the Urban Land Institute and the Council of Logistics Management. He also is an active member on the Real Estate Florida advisory board.
