Robert Bull

Robert Bull is President and a Director of The Americas Group Financial Services LLC. Mr. Bull is a highly skilled and experienced senior international executive.   He has a long and successful track record in diverse environments ranging from developing countries in Latin America to the competitive Asian Far East and the challenging Former Soviet Union.  He has guided the strategic direction for large organizations, building their growth through innovative marketing/sales programs and acquisitions/market entry initiatives while maintaining strong financial controls over the supply chain.  Mr. Bull is multicultural, flexible, and a team player/leader with a sense of urgency and demand for excellence.

Currently, Mr. Bull is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami and also at Miami Dade College where he teaches strategic management, international marketing, branding and other courses.  Additionally he is also a financial representative.

Prior to accepting these positions, Mr. Bull was the President and General Manager of R.J. Reynolds, the market leader in Puerto Rico. Robert had rejoined R.J. Reynolds in 2005, a company where he already career established an extensive career.

Before rejoining R.J. Reynolds, Mr. Bull was in Miami, Florida where he was President of FESPA, a business development entity that supported Latin American companies as they compete in the Global Economy.  In this role, he is directly involved in consulting and training/development programs in many Latin American countries, both in the public and private sectors.  In Argentina, Mr. Bull has worked closely with the Argentine Port Authority, the Secretariat for Small and Medium-sized Companies, the Industrial Association of the Province of Buenos Aires, and other public and private companies.

Before moving to Miami, Mr. Bull was R.J. Reynolds’ Regional President responsible for the Former Soviet Union markets.  This position integrated the responsibility of both western imports and local products with production in seven different “Soviet” sites, over 6500 employees, sales in excess of $800MM and EBITA approaching $120MM.  In Russia, Mr. Bull launched Peter 1st (which became the leading cigarette brand), a brand that addressed patriotic pride but with a western flavor. Prior to holding this position, Mr. Bull held marketing and sales positions for RJR in Hong Kong, Japan, Brazil, and other Latin American countries.

At the earlier stages of his professional career Mr. Bull also worked for Warner Lambert (within the Chicle Adams division) and Procter & Gamble.  In both companies he excelled in the marketing/brand management departments. The advertising campaigns that he developed for Warner Lambert were recognized by ANDA (Venezuela’s National Advertiser’s Association) as the best commercials during various years.  Also under his leadership, Warner Lambert initiated and developed an environmental protection campaign, the first of its kind in Venezuela.  Subsequently Warner Lambert’s good corporate citizenship was recognized by the federal government of Venezuela and was awarded the Francisco Miranda Medal In Venezuela, Mr. Bull also displayed outstanding training/teaching abilities at the Colegio Universitario de Caracas where he was honored as Patron of the graduating class.

Mr. Bull graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Major.  After a few years he returned to his Alma Mater for further studies obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree.  Currently he is also a member of Rotary International, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Latin Chamber of Commerce, and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Bull is a global person.  While born in Venezuela, he is also a British subject and a US permanent resident (Green Card Holder).  Mr. Bull is multilingual (fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and English), and has a basic knowledge of French, German, and Japanese).  He is married with four children (one born in Miami, another in Venezuela, and two in Brazil).
